Enabling and Disabling Smart View and Other Office Add-ins

You can enable and disable Oracle Smart View for Office and other Microsoft Office add-ins from the Add-Ins tab in Excel Options. In some cases, Smart View performance tin be improved when other Office add-ins are disabled.

To enable or disable Smart View or other Part add-ins for all applicative Office applications (including Outlook):

  1. Open Excel, Word or PowerPoint.

    Do not use Outlook to enable and disable Function add-ins.

  2. Perform the task advisable for your Office version:
    • 2016, 2013, 2010: Go to File, and so Options, and so Add-Ins.

    • 2007: Click the Office button in the top left corner of Excel, then select Excel Options, and then Add-Ins.

    Go on with stride iii to work with COM Add together-ins. Continue with pace four to work with Excel Add together-ins.

  3. To enable or disable COM add-ins, from Manage, select COM Add-ins, so click Go and so perform a chore:
    • To enable add-ins, ensure that the check box adjacent to the add together-in is checked.

      If the check box side by side to the add-in is cleared, so click the check box to select it, and then click OK.

      If the add-in you want to enable is not in the list, click Add, navigate to the location of the add together-in file in your system and select information technology, then click OK, so click OK again in the COM Add-Ins dialog to close it.

    • To disable add-ins, ensure that the check box next to the add together-in is cleared.

      If the bank check box next to the add-in is checked, then click the bank check box to articulate it, and then click OK.

    In the post-obit case COM Add-Ins dialog box, the Acrobat PDFMaker Office COM Addin, is disabled; other available add together-ins are enabled, including Smart View.

  4. To enable or disable Excel add-ins, from Manage, select Excel Add together-ins, then click Get and and so perform a job:
    • To enable add-ins, ensure that the bank check box side by side to the add together-in is checked.

      If the check box next to the add-in is cleared, then click the check box to select it, and then click OK.

      If the add together-in you lot want to enable is not in the list, click Browse, navigate to the location of the add-in file in your system and select it, then click OK, and then click OK again in the COM Add together-Ins dialog to close it.

    • To disable add-ins, ensure that the bank check box next to the add together-in is cleared.

      If the check box side by side to the add-in is checked, and then click the check box to articulate it, and then click OK.

    In the following example Add together-Ins dialog box, the Smart View add-in, Hstbar, is disabled; other available add together-ins are enabled. Note that these add-ins are non related to Smart View.

  5. Restart any open Office applications.
